Auction Rules
This auction will have two main phases (Auction 1 and Auction 2). Auction 1 will be a hybrid live and online auction in Dubai that will take place during WOC Dubai (February 10-11) and Auction 2 will be exclusively online.
Hybrid auction: February 10-11
Round 1 - Open bidding
Date and Time
Start - February 10th at 10 am Dubai time
End - February 11th at 2 pm Dubai time
Rules
Registered bidders will be able to place bids on ANY lot that they wish to buy.
Round 2: Lightning Round
Date and Time
Start - February 11th at 2 pm Dubai time
End - February 11th at 2:20 pm Dubai time
Rules
This round lasts 20 minutes.
Registered bidders will be able to place bids on ANY lot that they wish to buy.
After the 20 minutes is over, only the top 3 bidders for each coffee will move on to the final round. All others will not be able to continue bidding on those lots.
Round 3 - Final Round
Date and Time
Start - February 11th at 2:30 pm Dubai time
Rules
The final round features an auctioneer who will auction off each coffee one by one.
When a lot is presented, the buyers who made it to the final round will be able to bid against each other to see who will buy that coffee.
When the auctioneer declares a lot closed, no more bids will be accepted and the coffee will be considered sold.
The auction will end when all lots are sold.
Global online auction event: March 13
Date and Time
The auction will open at 2 pm Dubai time on March 13, 2025.
Rules
Traditional coffee auction:
At 2 pm Dubai time, the open bidding period will begin. During that period, the clock will not be going and bidders can place their initial bids.
At 3 pm Dubai time, the clock will start for the first time and count down from 3 minutes. If a bid is placed during that 3 min period, then the clock will restart. If the time on the clock runs out (when there are 0 minutes and seconds remaining) before there is a new bid, the auction will end. When the clock counts down to zero, whoever has placed the highest bid on a particular lot wins that lot and is responsible for purchasing the entire lot.

Auction pricing
Lot pricing is denominated in USD dollars and cents per kilogram.
Financial responsibility
The highest bidder at auction close is responsible for full payment to M-Cultivo for the entire lot. Once accepted, bids cannot be revoked. If the producer or country partner declines a payment or shipping request, the winning bidder remains liable for full payment.
Shipping and payment terms
All sales are conducted under Free on Board (FOB) terms from the DMCC in Dubai. Buyers assume responsibility for shipping costs beyond this point. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.
